Worn to a convention in July 2016. I initially fell in love with the black colorway of this dress but wanted a red strawberry dress, and when this popped up for sale at a good price, I grabbed it to try it out. I'm so glad I did. This was my first Angelic Pretty dress with full shirring, and I think their standard full shirring design is my favorite – the elastic is in channels (it’s more durable than elastic thread, which is what Baby often uses) and they are spaced tightly enough that they don’t make weird bulges like the way Metamorphose’s sometimes do. The colors in the print are bright, which makes the overall color look somewhere between red and pink, and a bit fluorescent, even. I admit I didn’t like this aspect at first but it has grown on me. I also like that there are green bits in the print, and the heart lace is also quite cute. I am glad I was able to work in the Sweet Jam series on the socks because I like the print and designs of the main pieces in the Sweet Jam series but they are all too small for me. I have a number of other strawberry and gingham themed items in red and white, so I can see myself having a lot of fun coordinating this in different ways! I can already see country and OTT sweet coordinates forming in my imagination :)
