I came up with the idea for this coordinate about 2 years ago but now that I have better
items to match, it was time for a reboot to shoot a fashion walk video for Purgatorio!
This coordinate is inspired by the work of Kuniko Kato. Most of the items are from Metamorphose and Physical
Drop, two brands that Kato founded. Her coordinate illustrations from
the early 2000s led me to try layering the two dresses. The printed JSK
is from Metamorphose's Princess Crown Bouquet print series (2009). The
OP underneath it is a Physical Drop release from 2017. Her work over
more than 20 years continues to fuel my lolita fashion journey each day.
