I wore this for modeling in the Fanime day 3 Elegant fashion show for Latvian indie designer Eat Me Ink Me. The OP, headdress, corsage, and belt were provided by the designer, and I was instructed to bring other items in a select set of colors to match. My choices were approved by the designer before I left home for the event. I additionally brought a matching homemade ruffly mask because masks were required to be worn at the event and I wanted mine to be fancy! The dress was really airy and comfortable since the solid black parts were made of linen.

We had an opportunity to see the room and runway on Day 1 and meet some of the show staff, which I took advantage of because I had just arrived that day and it was early enough to go to the con and get my badge and get situated. The day of the show I got my hair ready to go under a wig and did my makeup, then hopped on the tram to go to the venue. We were there for about 4-5 hours before the show to get fully dressed and rehearse, plus some considerable down time but it was also a great chance to meet some of the other models in person (at least a few were social media mutuals!) and chat while we waited. We also (quietly) socialized backstage during the show and it's always a magical little feeling to be in a big line of everyone fully dressed up.
