A comfy Alice themed coordinate for visiting the Epic Systems campus with some new friends. They are a pair of friends who were in the same tour group as me when I went to Japan late last year. One of them coincidentally lives in the same area as me, and the other is a lolita and was visiting our city from Arizona. They were going to get dressed up and take photos, and they invited me along so I dressed up too! The friend taking photos used to work there so she knew her way around, and that was very good because it’s HUGE and easy to get distracted by all the whimsical themed art and decor. I chose an Alice themed outfit because I knew there was an Alice in Wonderland themed building and I’d been wanting to wear this particular dress somewhere ever since I got it altered larger to fit me. We ended up walking 4.5 miles (a little over 7 km) and also went down a slide and rode bicycles!
We mostly stayed indoors for photos because all of the buildings are connected by indoor walkways and the outer doors are locked from the outside, but there are plenty of nicely decorated areas outside too, so with three people we could take turns going outside with the person taking the photo while one stayed inside to let the others back in. My favorite areas were the Alice in Wonderland building (of course), the hobbit hole themed boardroom (so cozy), the space themed areas, the mystery novel themed building, and the gingerbread house conference room. After we knew we were done indoors, we went outside, and the friend that used to work there found us some of the campus bicycles and gave us a quick outdoor riding tour. It was a nice chance to see all the outdoor installations, plus it was much faster than walking all the way back to the beginning.
