Continuing my streak this year of striking while the flowers are hot (blooming). Early June is peak peony season where I live. I have a couple of white and pink peony bushes I’ve been growing for a long time, and when they bloom the flowers are often so big and heavy that the stems can’t hold them up, so they all flop over and the flowers die on the ground where you can’t see them. I decided to cut them so I could enjoy them before they wilted, and hold them while I wore a dress with peonies on it. They smell wonderful but have SO many bugs in them, haha. I had to shoo a couple of spiders out of this bouquet before I used it in the photos but there were probably even more ants and those tiny little bright red bugs that crawl really fast, but those tend to stay inside the flowers at least.
