I celebrated International Lolita Day a bit early by going grocery shopping for a holiday baking bender wearing this. There was a woman that was very excited to see me. Yay positive interactions.

Much as my landscape photographer friend has recently taken an interest in bare trees, I’ve been noticing the beauty in a dying landscape preparing for winter and wanted to take some photos in it at sunset. I also wanted to get photos in my new coat with the orange-brown leaves before they all get covered in snow. I usually wear this dress more casually and wanted to fancy it up a bit. I had initially planned a cuter outfit with this forest themed print (it has rabbits in circles of flowers, fruits, and mushrooms) but ditched the lace apron for something simple with darker colored accents to match the surroundings better. 

Named for the Ali Project song "Deep Forest" which I have loved since I was in high school.
